Unleashing Inner Wisdom: My Journey with Bija Mantra Meditation

and Somatic Movement

As I crossed paths with the transformative practices of Bija Mantra Meditation and Somatic Movement, little did I know how profoundly they would shape my holistic well-being journey. Let me take you through my personal odyssey of self-discovery, where mental, physical, and spiritual realms intertwine to unravel the path to inner wisdom. Allow me to share how my journey with Bija Mantra Meditation and Somatic Movement has helped in unleashing inner wisdom.

Embracing My Inner Sanctuary with Bija Mantra Meditation

Connecting to Inner Wisdom

Bija Mantra Meditation, a sacred vocal ritual, became my gateway to spiritual development and mental clarity. Single-syllable mantras resonated within me, aligning with the internal energy centers, called Chakras in Sanskrit, guiding me to delve deep into my psyche and connect with my inner wisdom. The vibrations of these sacred sounds reverberated through my being, harmonizing my mind and spirit in perfect synchrony. The byproduct is the benefit of increased well-being in the body because everything is connected.

Cultivating Mental Health

Through the gentle repetition of Bija mantras, my mind found solace amidst the chaos of everyday life. The soothing rhythm of these ancient sounds quieted the incessant chatter of my thoughts, paving the way for mental stillness and clarity. As I embraced the practice, a newfound sense of calmness and resilience bloomed within me, empowering me to navigate life's challenges with a bit more grace and clarity.

Embodying Grace through Somatic Movement

Awakening the Body

Complementing the ethereal practice of Bija Mantra Meditation, somatic movement introduced me to a profound kinship with my physical form. Through fluid and intentional movements, I learned to listen to the whispers of my body, attuning myself to its inherent wisdom. Each stretch, each sway, became a dance of self-discovery, allowing me to release tension and embrace a newfound sense of vitality, realizing the wisdom the body holds in and of itself.

Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit

The seamless fusion of somatic movement with Bija Mantra Meditation unveiled the potent alchemy of mind-body integration. As I moved in rhythm with my breath, I felt a profound sense of unity with myself and the universe. The barriers between the mental, physical, and spiritual realms dissolved, leaving me in a state of wholeness and serenity. It has taught me how to be more present and embody physical form while allowing natural processes of emotion, thought choices, fluidity of the life-force energy, and parts work integration.

Nurturing the Triad of Well-Being

Radiating Spiritual Benefits

The synergy between Bija Mantra Meditation and somatic movement transcended mere physical and mental well-being, enriching my spiritual tapestry. Through these practices, I unearthed a deep sense of connection to the Divine within and around me. As I surrendered to the harmonious flow of energy, I felt guided by a force greater than myself, leading me on a journey of spiritual exploration and enlightenment that continues with every practice, even today.

A Call to Conscious Living

My journey with Bija Mantra Meditation and somatic movement has been a transformative voyage into the depths of my being. It has awakened me to the beauty of conscious living, where every breath and every movement is a sacred gesture toward alignment with my true essence. This harmonious union of mind, body, and spirit has become my roadmap to unlocking the infinite wellspring of inner wisdom that resides within. This is an eternal journey, as is the awakening process. Never striving for perfection, or just getting over aspects of the human self. But a true approach to integration with love, compassion, curiosity, and conscious, practiced presence.

In the gentle whispers of ancient mantras and the graceful movements of somatic practice, I have found a profound aspect of my sanctuary, my solace, and my truth. Join me on this path of self-discovery, where the essence of our being awaits, shimmering with the promise of a life lived in harmony with ourselves and the universe. Embrace the transformative power of Bija Mantra Meditation and Somatic Movement, and embark on your own journey to inner wisdom.

Let the sacred sounds and mindful movements be your guiding light toward a life of holistic well-being and spiritual fulfillment. Unleash your inner wisdom and embrace the harmonious symphony of mind, body, and spirit in perfect unity.

May the resonance of the bija mantras and the fluidity of somatic movement carry you on the wings of transformation and enlightenment. Namaste.

Insight and Message from Spirit of the Medicine Wheel or Circle of Life

Picture of a circular labyrinth made out of stones surrounded by grass and forestry and a cloudy sky, with autumn colors.

Meditating on what Spirit would have us know in addition to sharing about sound and movement above, I was inspired to draw on the Native Spirit Oracle cards. What fell out into my lap as I was shuffling and continuing to ask for clear guidance relevant to what we all need to hear and understand at this time, was the Circle of Life (Medicine Wheel) card. It is a messenger of "honoring all circles of life."

The Message

The message as the creator and author, Denise Linn has described is that first, all things are possible. Dreams are coming to fruition, we just need to be centered [within our sacred medicine circle - our energy, self, ideals, intentions, and as we have been created as individual expressions of the Divine], and open to the life that flows to and through us. Things are changing, even when we haven't witnessed the 'physical' evidence, yet.

Expanding upon that, I will add that change begins from within. What I mean by that is we first decide we're ready for change, we surrender to it, and we let go of the patterns we used to practice that told us not to change, or it was not possible, or need physical evidence before we made the internal changes to be able to receive and live with the intended goal, experience or outcome. In other words, if we resist what we want, we are at war within ourselves. Peace must happen within, for it to be a consistent pattern of manifestation since the external manifestations reflect the energy we're emitting (not what we think or want to emit vibrationally).

What Spirit - Our Ancestors want us to know

Native Spirit reminds us that "the circle of life, called the medicine wheel in Native American traditions symbolizes a cosmology that honors all the circles of life." Life is not linear; all life is circular - according to indigenous cultures.

We're being reminded that it's time to honor and cherish all aspects of life and the self (the great circle). It's time to decide to let go of the need to find fault and complain about life and our world, and choose to continue our life journey seeing through the eyes of our Sacred Self that recognizes the parts of our journey that have beauty and grace. There's as much grace and beauty in the sunset, as there is in the sunrise. Choose to be present and embody your life from the whole of you, and you become the master of your personal universe.

A Practical Journeying Exercise

To bring the sense of being deliberately conscious and aware on this circle of life journey it is recommended to create a physical medicine wheel for yourself. This can be done by making a miniature version in the home to place on an altar or desktop using pebbles or tiny pine cones and making a few circles within circles.

Another option is to make a larger version outside in your yard in a location that will be undisturbed, using stones or regular-sized pine cones. It's about the practice and process of being present, deliberate, and utilizing all your senses as you place each part of the circle together, and holding the intention that you are honoring all aspects of your life, and all aspects of your being as mind, body, and spirit.

Should you decide you would like to take your journeying exercise to a deeper and more personal level with inner work, and gain support through the process, you're invited to learn more about Shamanic Healing and Journeying and scheduling a consultation to see if it is a fit for you to work with Josephine Sheppard, a Contemporary-style Shamanic Practitioner.
